Agriculture and Horticulture

4-H Youth Development

The Meigs County 4-H Youth Development program is under the direction of Cassie Turner, Extension Educator.  The 2006 4-H program has over 300 county youth enrolled and nearly 100 in the Cloverbud program.  A total of 31 4-H clubs are active in the county, with 70 adult volunteers.  For more information on the program click on 4-H YOUTH DEVELOPMENT under County Topics.

Family and Consumer Sciences

The Meigs County Family and Consumer Sciences, is under the direction of Joyce Brown, Extension Educator, from Athens County.  For more information on the program click on Family and Consumer Sciences under County Topics. 

Family Nutrition Program

The Meigs County Family Nutrition Program, under the direction of Linda King, Program Assistant,  teaches participants about nutrition, meal planning, food shopping and food safety.  The target audiences for the program are adults with limited resources.  For more information on the program click on Family Nutrition Program under County Topics.
